Karmic associations tend to be the most difficult and challenging types of relationships. Karmic relationships are not the same as soul mates or twin flame relationships, although all soul relationships and soul family relationships help support our spiritual evolution. A karmic relationship can be with a lover, sibling, child, parents, friends, even work colleagues.
Contrary to popular opinion, not all karmic relationships are soul mate relationships. Rather, karmic relationships happen because before we came to this life we have made a conscious choice to come together with another soul so that we can share, support, learn, heal, resolve past life issues, forgive and grow. Many times we form karmic relationships unconsciously, because we see in the other person something that can effectively help us solve some of our own limitations and karma.
There are several defining characteristics of karmic relationships, but the most obvious ones are:
1.instant recognition of each other on some level, especially when there is no way you have ever met before
strong, and often unexplainable attraction
2.an intensity to the relationship, either positive or negative
3.A tendency for the relationship to become the most dominant of your relationships
4.A deep emotional or physical connection, often that has an addictive quality
5.An ability to really piss off and press each other’s buttons
6.An inability give up and walk away, regardless of how toxic
It is important to remember that the universe is always bringing us people and situations to help us spiritually learn, grow, and evolve into the highest form of consciousness.
